Questions

About the free quiz.

Is this really free?

Yes. All 90 questions are free, with no account, email or credit card. Take them as many times as you like.

Are these like the real EA exam?

They’re multiple-choice, scenario-based questions in the style of the Special Enrollment Examination, spread across each part’s exam domains. They aren’t actual exam questions; the IRS doesn’t release those.

How is the real exam different?

Each part of the real exam has 100 questions (85 scored, 15 unscored) and a 3.5-hour time limit. Scores run from 200 to 800, and 500 passes. You take it at a PSI test center or online. See how ExamZilla prepares you.

What score means I’m ready?

There’s no exact conversion to the real exam’s scaled score. As a rough guide, if you’re consistently scoring 75% or better on practice questions you haven’t seen before, you’re in good shape for that part.

Will my answers be saved?

Yes, in the browser you’re using now. Each part saves separately, so you can stop halfway through Part 2 and come back later. Clearing your browser data or switching devices starts you over.

I’m stuck on a topic. Can someone explain it?

Yes. You can book a one-on-one video session with Michael Jones, EA, CFP®, for $75 an hour. Learn about tutoring.
